Disney’s Hexed Release Date, Voice Cast and Spoiler-Free Family Guide

Disney Animation’s Hexed is scheduled to open in cinemas on November 25, 2026. Hailee Steinfeld voices Billie, a teenager who discovers she can do magic. Rashida Jones plays her mother, Alice. Disney’s description puts the two of them on the same journey through a witch realm called Hexe. The idea is easy to grasp even if you have avoided the trailers: a teenager wants room to experiment, and her mother has reasons to worry about what will happen when she does.
Disney Hexed release date: story
Billie starts out in suburbia. Discovering her abilities opens a door to a realm with rules she doesn’t understand. Disney says the trip brings family mysteries into the open. That gives the adventure two kinds of stakes. There is the immediate problem of getting around a new world, and there is the question of why the people closest to Billie haven’t told her everything. You can share that setup with a child without giving away the turns that follow.
Disney describes Alice as cautious and Billie as impulsive. It is a familiar family disagreement, with a rather different setting once magic enters the picture. A trailer can sell the setting in seconds, but the reason to watch for the first few minutes is to see what the pair do when they have to trust each other. That is a more interesting hook than guessing which spell is going to be the most powerful.
Who voices the main characters?
Steinfeld and Jones lead the cast. Walton Goggins voices Beef Roger Crummchuk, a magical cat with three eyes who joins Billie and Alice. Jodie Foster voices Queen Celeste, who wants to hold on to power in Hexe. The cast list also includes Henry Winkler, Dan Stevens, Tracey Ullman and Stephen Fry. Disney credits Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand as directors, with Josie Trinidad as co-director. Kris Bowers composed the original score.
Watching with a child who likes finding out how films are made? Try replaying a brief moment from the trailer with your eyes closed. Notice what the actor does with a pause, or whether you can tell who is speaking before you see the character. Voice performances, the score and the sound effects are doing different jobs in the same few seconds.
Is Hexed suitable for a family outing?
Disney’s film page lists a US PG rating and links the official trailers. In India, use the local age classification and the cinema’s own listing when booking. If a child is sensitive to loud sound or scary imagery, the trailer can help you decide whether to choose a matinee in a regular auditorium. A family can be more comfortable at a manageable time and volume than at a late screening in the biggest room available.
The date on the studio page is November 25. A local booking screen answers separate questions: which day the film starts in your city, which languages are offered and whether the show has subtitles. Check those details before sharing a ticket link with relatives. Two listings for the same afternoon may have different audio or language options.
Is there a Disney streaming date?
Disney’s official page is promoting the cinema release and gives no streaming date. If you want to see it at home, watch for a separate announcement. For now, the most useful preparation for a cinema visit is to choose the language your group prefers and decide how much of the story you want to see in advance. The short setup is enough to understand what Billie and Alice are trying to work out together.
If you have a child who likes the villain best, ask what makes a character intimidating before you watch. The answer can be as simple as how they enter a room or how quietly they speak. It gives you something to talk about on the way home without explaining the whole plot.
